Did you know that QS products are often used in highly sensitive applications where identifying the specific optical properties of the specialty glass being used is important, especially for UV transmission?
We recently installed the UV-1900i spectrophotometer by Shimadzu to make these measurements easier! It has a 2-beam configuration that features high-transmission measurements, as well as reflection measurements. The in-house developed software allows, among other things, the conversion of tube measurements to plate geometry as well as the determination of optical parameters of coatings.
